Varsity volleyball plays Cedar Creek in the first district game

volleyball game 2Tuesday, August 25th the McCallum Lady Knights took on the Lady Eagles from Cedar Creek in the first district matchup of the year.

The freshman downed the Lady Eagles in two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-12. Clair Caudill led the team with 10 serving aces.

The junior varsity went three close sets but lost in the third. Sophomore Anaiah Green led the team with 8 kills, while Nathalie Munoz led the team with three aces and 22 digs.

The Lady Knights varsity took the match to a fifth set but fell in the end to the Lady Eagles. McCallum lost two sets to zero, but came back to tie the match at two each. They lost the last set 10-15. Britney Clayton-Mitchell and Andrea Janss led the team with 17 and 16 kills respectively. Clayton-Mitchell also led the team with four aces.

The next home game is September 1st, when they play Travis High School.
